Diversity at ALU
Who We Are & What We Do
We are deeply committed to creating an inclusive and safe community where everyone feels valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. We embody this commitment through a multifaceted approach. Our programming, policy development, and diversity support conversations serve as the pillars of our efforts.
Our programming initiatives offer a wide range of events, workshops, and activities that encourage dialogue, awareness, and understanding. These opportunities foster a sense of inclusivity and enable personal and collective growth.
We continuously develop and review policies to ensure equitable opportunities and fair treatment for all. By addressing systemic barriers and promoting representation, we aim to create an inclusive community where diversity thrives.
We actively engage in diversity support conversations, providing spaces for open and respectful discussions. These conversations help us better understand and address the needs of our diverse community whilst nurturing inclusive leaders for a global society.
Together, we embrace the richness of our differences and work towards creating a community that uplifts, supports, and empowers all.

Ms. Onyango holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the United States International University-Africa (USIU-A) and specializes in general counseling. She believes that working in Wellness allows her to impact people's everyday lives positively, and she chose ALU because she wants to make a difference in the broader African community.
As a wellness tip, Ms. Onyango suggests that we should all regularly do things we enjoy.
